NAME: Wayne “Sandy” Everett Marlow

HEIGHT: 6’4"
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Straight
APPEARANCE: In a word . . . hot. Or at least his wife, Mara thinks so. His hair is brown, light brown. It is a little ragged at times, but usually he gets it cut when it gets to be too long. His eyes are to be determined as soon as I find a rep. There is kindness in his eyes and usually his smile reaches them. When it doesn't watch out. He is on the tall side with lean muscles. He has more the look of a skater than that of a body builder. He generally looks clean cut, clean shaven, and very trustworthy. Don’t be fooled though, those eyes are watching you very carefully. He likes to wear professional clothes that are comfortable, which makes shopping for clothes a choir, one he prefers to avoid. Still it has it's rewards, one of those being that when someone looks at him they see someone ready for sucess. At times when he works late, buttons will be undone, has hair will be rumpled, and shoes will disappear. It seems to be a family trait to avoid shoes when possible, since his younger brother and sister have disappearing shoes as well.
TRAITS/PERSONALITY: Very respectable, a man of character who usually has a straight face on. He may not always look it, but he does have a mischievous side, and he loves magic. He is the kind of personality that when given just about any two people as potential mischief makers, if he is one of them usually he did it and usually the other person got blamed. Put against his younger brother, Todd, he would get away Scott free, because not only would Todd get blaimed, Todd actually would have done it. The same would usually be the case with his little sister Julie, except she might be the one to get away with it. Despite that he is the first one to defend someone who needs it. He doesn't like to see people being picked on, especially people who can't defend themselves. Now, if they deserve it, that is a different matter. And he is good at telling the difference. Sometimes it isn't always so obvious. Sometimes that big scary look kid is really scared to death of you. Wayne is really perceptive.
SPECIAL ABILITIES: Other than the ability to get away with way too much, not much. He is smart and able to remember easily. He has that annoying ability to know when something is going on behind him to the point where Todd has more than once accused him of having that trait usually assigned to mothers, eyes in the back of his head.
HISTORY: Wayne is the oldest child of a wizard and a muggle. His family and some friends call him Sandy, a nickname from childhood due to his hair which, compared to Todd and Julie’s dark brown hair, looks almost blond. While growing up he was nearly forbidden to use magic. This rule had a different effect on him and his two siblings. Middle child, Todd, practiced magic in secret and as an adult used it frequently for whatever he felt like. Youngest, Julie, followed that rule, but allowed any magical use from her brothers, never learning much about magic until attending Hogwarts. Wayne studied hard at Howarts, earning himself a position as prefect while an upperclassman. Now out of school Wayne uses magic perhaps more than Todd, but he is more controlled in it. He married Mara Leann Caruthers two years ago.

IN THE PAST NINE YEARS Wayne has been deciding how to deal with certain things that happened just prior to graduation thirteen years ago, such as his mother threatening not to speak to him again if he didn’t find a safe job. She knew she couldn’t stop any of her children from using magic, but she wanted them safe. To her magic wasn’t safe. Wayne knows how to control his magic and finds it amusing that she thinks a magical job is less dangerous than some of his childhood aspirations, fireman and police detective to name two. Five years ago he met a witch name Mara Caruthers. She caught him in a snare meant for a bear and had to fix his leg. It was a rocky relationship, but after two and a half years he came to realize that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Mara, so he proposed. She accepted and they got married two years ago. Six months ago they found out she was expecting their first child. In May they attended with the rest of his family (including his mother under protest) his baby sister, Julie’s graduation from Hogwarts.

FAMILY: His father is Ethan Marlow, a wizard. His mother is Sydney Marlow, formerly Conner, a muggle. He has two younger siblings. His brother, Todd, is a year younger at thirty-two. Todd is married to a witch named Sarah with three children. The oldest, Conner, is ten and eager to attend Hogwarts next year, something his father Todd opted out of. Todd’s two younger children, Mason and Nona, are eight and five respectively. His younger sister, Juliet, or Julie as she prefers to be called, is twenty-one, a recent graduate from Hogwarts. Wayne has been married to Mara Leann Caruthers for two years. They are expecting their first child soon. Like sister-in-law, Sarah, Mara is a witch. Wayne isn’t sure what he would have done with a muggle wife, considering his mother’s objections to magic around the house while he and his siblings were growing up. None of his mother’s side knows about magic, though he has a muggle cousin named Shawn Conner, who is a conspiracy theorist and may be on the verge or learning the family secret. Then, again maybe not. His dad was an only child whose father died when Wayne was three and mother died when Wayne was seven. He barely remembers his Grandma Marlow and his Grandfather Marlow not at all.

SAMPLE RP: Wayne watched his baby sister, Julie, twirl around the room. It was rather amusing to see a twenty-one-year-old young woman twirling around as if she was five, but that was his Julie. She was everything that wasn’t proper and everything that was fun and everything that was good. She loved magic and figured graduating from Hogwarts deserved the opportunity to dance. She stopped twirling and ran up to him. “Hey, Sandy!” she exclaimed excitedly, using his childhood nickname rather than his proper one. “I’m so glad you could make it.” As if he would ever have missed Julie’s graduation. He pulled her into a hug. “Save me the next dance, little sister."
Julie inclined her head with laughter in her eyes. "Sorry. Todd already made me promise it to him. Maybe the one after that."
"Absolutely," Wayne agreed. Had it been anyone other than Todd he might have argued, but he would defer to his little brother. After all Todd was Julie's brother, too, no danger of anything fishy happening. Looking at his little sister wonder off in search of Todd, he had to laugh at that thought. The only way anything fishy was happening with Julie was if she allowed it and right now he was pretty sure she wasn't interested in anyone in particular.
Wayne felt a hand on his shoulder and looked over to see his pregant wife, Mara, standing beside him. "Want to dance, Mar? Julie just rejected me for Todd. If my own wife says no I don't know how I'd stand it." Fortunately she wasn't about to say no.
