“Well it’s a good thing you know what you don’t want. Start from there. Could try being Minister of Magic, but that can be just as ‘good’ as being a lawyer and twice as hard to get.” Orson said. Jeremiah smirked. Only twice as hard? There were many lawyers, but only one Minister of Magic. He supposed it was harder than Orson was giving credit to become Minister of Magic. He knew for a fact it was, he had researched it earlier. It was somewhere in the realm of politics, yet he did not require that much power.
“Tell me what would you do if you just went into acting? I mean there might be many things under acting that you can go into.” Orson asked.
“Just acting, plain and simple, the purest form. Stage acting. I am not inclined to muggle movies, but acting on the stage, in plays. A stage in America, Broadway, I know they earn a lot of money. But I don’t expect the get rich from it. If all else fails, my parents will die eventually. I am not planning my life around that, nor am I looking forward to it, but money is not the obstacle. So I can just act. In plays and dramas and the like.” Jeremiah said simply.
It wasn’t that Jeremiah had no clue what he wanted to do. It was nothing close to that. The problem was that Jeremiah knew exactly what to do. He just couldn’t do everything he wanted. He simply had to decide which he wanted to do the most. He could act and then go into politics. He had done his research, it worked for some people. One Ronald Reagan. He seemed to have adjusted fairly well. But Jeremiah wasn’t aiming for that much fame. In acting he could deal with the fame. In politics, he didn’t want it. He wanted to become an official, someone important that wasn’t recognizable on the street. He saw them coming up to his class.
“Alright, well, I am sure I will be able to figure things out for myself. Thank you for your help, Professor. This is my stop.” He said with a courteous smile and then opened the door, “I will see you in class.” He added as he entered his class, ready for something to distract him from his dilemma.
